Reimagining a Product Brand for Future Growth
Role
Creative Brand Strategy Lead
Responsibilities
- Brand Strategy
- Creative Direction
- Packaging System Design
- Naming Strategy
- Executive Presentations
- Cross-functional Leadership
The Challenge
As Danco expanded into new product categories, its branding became fragmented. Customers struggled to understand how products related to one another, and the company lacked a scalable system for future innovation.
The goal was to create a brand architecture that unified packaging, messaging, and product naming while supporting long-term growth.
My Approach
Instead of redesigning individual packages, I developed a complete brand ecosystem.
This included:
- Creating a scalable packaging architecture
- Developing category-specific messaging
- Designing a color system for easier retail navigation
- Building a repeatable naming strategy centered around the “IT” platform
- Presenting rollout strategies to executive leadership and product teams
The Solution
The new system introduced:
- A unified brand hierarchy
- Consistent packaging standards
- Product naming conventions like Brush.IT, Clear.IT, and O.Stop.IT
- Category positioning statements
- Flexible design standards that could scale across future product launches

Impact
The project established a long-term brand framework that aligned marketing, product management, and leadership around a single vision for future product development.
Rather than creating packaging for a handful of products, the work defined a scalable brand system capable of supporting years of innovation.
